SIMURA Non-Wovens Ltd (SNWL) was incorporated in the year 2004 as a subsidiary company of SIMURA Group with an aim to produce high quality and Eco-friendly packaging solutions made from Non-Woven Fabric. Over the years, the company diversified into manufacturing export quality ladies handbag, backpacks, laptop covers and carry bags to cater to the needs of the fast paced and quality conscious customers around the globe.

As a strategic expansionary move to further establish the company’s reach around the worldwide markets, in 2014, SNWL progressed as a Singapore – Bangladesh Joint Venture Company with investment from Samson Industries Pte Ltd (Singapore).

From the very inception, by focusing on the core company principle of being customer driven, continuous improvement, strong partner collaboration and employee improvement, SWNL soon established itself as trusted supplier of packaging products amongst renowned brands in the domestic market. Local giants including APEX Footwear, HAMKO Footwear, Mr Baker, Top Ten Fashion, RFL Plastics and Symphony Mobile are major clients amongst the pool of companies that consider SNWL as a reliable supplier of Non-Woven packaging.

Tapping on the three decades of technical knowledge of cutting and manufacturing of the garment sector and availability of cost effective workforce force in Bangladesh, SWNL successfully penetrated into the European, North American and South East Asian market. Key products for the export market include home textile packaging, stove covers, non-woven shopping bags, garment covers, Cotton totes, Polyester totes, Jute shopping bags and more.

  • OCSOrganic Content Standard
    Organic Content Standard (OCS) applies to all non-food product containing 5-100% organic matter. It checks the presence and the amount of organic matter in a finished product. It follows the raw material source to finished product and this process is certified by an accredited third party. It allows an independent, transparent, consistent and complete, and verification of allegations of organics product. It can be used as a business-to-business tool to give companies the means to ensure that what they get is what they pay and what they sell.

    The Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) is recognized as the world’s leading processing standard for textiles made from organic fibres. It defines high-level environmental criteria along the entire organic textiles supply chain and requires compliance with social criteria as well. The aim of the standard is to define world-wide recognized requirements that ensure organic status of textiles, from harvesting of the raw materials, through environmentally and socially responsible manufacturing up to labeling in order to provide a credible assurance to the end consumer.
